Team Benefits
Participation in Penn State Racing provides team members with the experience of working on a year-long engineering project. This allows the team to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom to problems that arise during production and testing. Time management skills are consequently tested to ensure the car is completed by competition. Additionally, team members refine communication skills to present new ideas and to keep projects on track.
Becoming a Sponsor
Penn State Racing is a student-run organization that relies on donations from our sponsors. The
team welcomes any monetary, material or product donations from any interested parties. It takes about $40,000 to build a racecar each year. Without generous donations from our sponsors, Penn State Racing could not produce a car each year.
Sponsor Benefits
Sponsors will all have the opportunity to have the company logo placed on the bodywork of the car, which is a great chance to advertise at all Penn State Racing events. We provide periodic newsletters, updating sponsors on the progress of our car and our success at competition. In addition, sponsors are invited to meet team members and recruit them for your company in a less formal setting than an interview. All donations are tax-exempt as Penn State Racing is an affiliate of Penn State University. The team welcomes any company to stop by the shop and take a look at our progress and operations.
